      4. I like reading, music, making stuff for my dolls, crafts, art, and looking at doll blogs! I’m not very good at sewing, though I enjoy it when I’m able to (though I don’t like cutting out patterns:D)! I haven’t worked on it in awhile, but I had been working on a doll apron by hand! So it sounds like we’re pretty alike! Cool!:)

  13. Hey Lainey! What are your thoughts on the new BeForever collection? I think it’s all really cute. For instance, I love Kit’s new meet outfit,and think it’s super cute, but for me, it doesn’t really resemble a poor girl struggling in the great depression. What do you think?

  16. Lainey–A while ago, in a comment on AmericanGirlFan, I think you asked me if I had any favorite book series, and I don’t think I ever answered… sorry… Anyways, I looooove reading! I read the first Anne of Green Gable’s book by Lucy Maud Montgomery, (then I watched the first Anne movie!), and I am now reading the second Anne book, Anne of Avonlea!! They are reeeeeaally good!!

    I also like Jane Austen! I haven’t read any of her books yet, but I have seen a few of the movies, and really like them! I’m hoping to start reading the books soon, too!!

  17. Hi Lainey!
    How are your dogs, Nala and Sampson doing? (I remember you telling me about them in a comment on AmericanGirlFan.)

    My cat Georgie went to the vet today for a teeth cleaning, and we were sooooooo worried about him because he had to spend a lot of the day there. We’re really, really happy that he’s back home with us now!! Also, we’re thankful that it turned out he didn’t have the *deep breath* feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions that at first the vet thought he might have.

    I just really wanted to tell you about Georgie! Since you have dogs, I’m guessing that you’re probably an animal lover, too, right?

      They’re are both fine, and so are the rest of our animals!
      Three of our goats had babies!!! They’re ADOARABLE!!!! I may have to post a pic:)

    The baby goats must be sooooooooo cute!!! I would love to see pics! Have you named them yet? Also, have you read the AG Josefina books? I really like the story where she raised that baby goat Sombrita. That was just SO CUTE! Maybe you could name one of your baby goats Sombrita! 🙂

      They are!:) We’ve named most of them so far, but that would definitely be a cute name!:) I’ve read a couple of the Josefina books but none of them had Sombrita in them.
      They sure are! And they’re Christians!:)

      No, I haven’t, but I have seen the Shirley Temple version movie of it! I may be able to find it at my library. 🙂 I’ll let you know if I do. 🙂

    Yes, that’s fine with me! I did find out that Hazel will be retiring, so we are actually saving up for her right now. Also, once we get Marie/Grace/Hazel/Willow, if you ever want to use one of my photos of them to print out as a picture for a letter or something that the cousins send or something, that’s absolutely fine! I’d appreciate it if you said something like “this is Cozzie and today I got a letter from my cousins!” and linked to my blog on cousins, though. 🙂
    That would be cool! Sure! If we can get Hazel before she retires, I’ll definitely bring her if we can go in September. (FYI, my mom’s saying that we’ll have to see how our cars (they keep breaking down) and everythigng are nearer to September, so I think we’ll just have to see. Cross your fingers!)
    It would be cool if I could get Hazel before, if we can go, and if you bought Cozzie or Leah that day. Than we could take pictures of them together! I think you said you were planning on getting Caroline than, though. My assumption is that Caroline will be retired on August 27th, though, so you might want to get her sooner.

    And just double checking, Cozzie, Leah Grace, and Saige are sisters, correct? Not missing anything?
    And just FYI, ours will be set-in-stone Marie Charlotte (37) and Grace Winifred (Cozzie with Bavas International GG wig in Auburn 🙂 ) as the older set of twins (13), and Hazel Adele (11) and Willow Mae (custom #35 w/ curly auburn RRG wig) as the younger twins (11), with possibly a H4H Zelia as their younger sister, name being brainstormed. 🙂 IT’ll make more sense when I write the post, I promise! 😀

Cozzie, Leah, and Saige will all be sisters. Their names will be Cozzie Amanda Copeland, Leah Grace Copeland, and Saige’s name is already Saige Selena Copeland. If I get Caroline, her name will be either Caroline Amaya Abbott, or Caroline Amaya(u-my-uh) Copeland or possibly McIntire. I haven’t really decided on that yet. 🙂

  20. Hi Lainey! I’m sorry it’s taken me a while to comment back…

    I’m pretty sure Sombrita comes into Josefina’s story in the fourth book, Happy Birthday, Josefina. I actually read her first two books kind of a long time ago and then just read the rest of them earlier this year. They are reeeeeeally cute — I LOVE Josefina’s character. She’s so sweet!!

    I’m pretty excited for Grace’s movie, too! I hope AG puts more stuff about it on their website soon… you know, like movie clips and behind-the-scenes stuff. They did for Isabelle so hopefully they’ll do the same for Grace. *fingers crossed* 😉

    Have you been reading Grace’s online journal? AG adds to it a little bit each week, and it has pictures (I think from the movie) of Grace, her friends, and even cute little Bon-Bon!! Here’s a link: http://grace.americangirl.com/

    That’s cool that you’ve seen the movie Rebecca of Sunnybrook farm! And I hope that you’ll be able to read the book sometime, too. We have the Shirley Temple version of the movie, also, but I actually haven’t ever watched it… I think I’ll ask my mom if we can have a movie night soon! 🙂

        I get annoyed with the GOTY movies, because I feel that the actresses are typically overdramatic, and I feel that they sometimes don’t do enough research. Actually, Chrissa’s movie was the only GOTY movie I actually enjoyed. I still watch them anyways, haha. I loved watching the dancing in Isabelle’s, though. The trailer looks like it will be a better actress (and I saw the actress in a commercial and she was really good in that), but I don’t know how much of the melo-dramatic-ness is the director and how much is the acting/actress. So really I’m just not expecting much.
        Sorry to sound like such a downer! The problem with being into acting is that you figure out exactly what you and do not like in acting, haha.

        Other than a doll: Grace’s coat, the MYAG striped blazer outfit, samantha’s mint dress, Rebacca’s classic meet, and the coconut cutie outfit.
        Possibly other stuff, if we have the money.

        So, no Marie this trip?:)
        Cool! I’m planning on getting Leah and another doll that I just click with! 😉 Besides the two dolls, I would probably get an outfit or pet, and maybe a couple small things such as exclusives. I would get a lot more, but my mom is trying to get me into a habit of saving. 😉 If I just get one doll I’ll probably get Garnet, and some of Kit’s and Grace’s collection along with it. 😉 I wish September would hurry up and get here!!!!:D Do you have a set date in mind? I’m hoping on the 12th. That will be I think the second Saturday of the month, so I’m hoping that AG will have an event then. 😉

        Hazel is one of the younger sets of twins in the Dueren family, she has strawberry/light red hair and bangs, freckles, and hazel eyes.

        Ooh, those sound like good ideas!

        I would just be worried about Caroline’s collection being completely gone at that point, because my guess would be that they either announce her archival or retire her on August 27th.

        Claire and I talked about it, and we were thinking that maybe our parents would buy us a doll as an early Christmas present (they say if that’s our only present except stockings for both of us, they could do that) and I think we might be able to get our grandparents to give us Christmas money early as well. So maybe we could get either Hazel and Kit, or, if we already got Hazel, then Kit and Josefina/Rebecca/Marie. Honestly, if we had the money for 3 dolls, we’d get three dolls, and not really care about clothes, LOL. Maybe a souvenir (we could both get the store exclusives and sign the tag or something) or two, but honestly I think it would just be dolls, LOL.

        I think they do most Saturdays. We’ve been to that store once or twice, and I think they had two events each day.
        I’ll see if we have anything on Saturday. My parents plan trips a few months in advance, so I think now that it is four months away they might be able to think about it more. It really might change though, depending on our cars. We can’t fly (money is always a bit tight around here) so here’s hoping they hold out!

        Well, actually I found out this morning from Chrissa Marie that Caroline is retiring and she’s only available while supplies last. I’m hoping to order her today, and maybe Garnet. So that means that I’ll only be getting one doll when I go(probably Leah), an outfit, and an exclusive or two. 🙂

        Yeah, I understand what you mean. 🙂 I went last August to the Dallas store and I was debating between accessories, and the classic Kit. I wish now that I had gotten Kit, because I love her classic meet. To me she doesn’t look the same without it.

        Yeah, I just always am like “Dolls over clothes” But then I also know that I can sew a lot of the things AG makes – not the same quality, and not exact, but close enough. Yeah! Now she just looks like a girl who loves the 30s and Kit and wants to have clothes that look “inspired by” the 30s.

    Yeah, Caroline and Garnet will be here in about a week! So, I’ll probably do a post with her in it next Thursday!:) Wish you could get her too. 🙂 Though I really understand that-go with the doll that you’ll be the most happy with. I already had Carolie on my list, so she was a definite. 🙂

    Yeah, definitely! Like, I REALLY like Julie’s maxi dress, but I found I pattern that is A TON like it. So yeah, so dolls over outfits!:D And you can get other brand outfits too for cheaper!:)
    Yeah, I know that some girls like Kit’s new meet outfit…….but……I’m not the biggest fan….I think it’s because it’s sleeveless, and the buttons like kinda strange to me..:) Oh well!
    Oh my goodness….that’s hard….um…
    1) Samantha’s mint floral dress
    2) 2-in-1 cheer outfit
    3) Pink riding outfit
    4) swim suit
    5) gymnastics outfit
    6) gardening outfit
    7) the peach colored party dress
    8) western riding outfit
    9) Josefina’s night shift

    And for a souvenir I would get probably…….the Dallas exclusive silver skirt or purple long-sleeved shirt for dolls.
    And I didn’t add Caroline’s collection, but I love her’s. 🙂

    So, know I’m guessing that when I go to the Dallas AG store, I should be able to get Leah, and two outfits. Or I might do exclusives. 🙂 I’m not exactly sure yet.

    1. Doesn’t she? She loves violin, piano, flute, and some guitar, also LotR. She’s /slightly/ obsessed with LotR, actually. 😉

      Oh, yay! Congrats! Yeah, honestly I just like her eyes, so I just want to rewig her, LOL! Maybe if she is on JSD I can get my mom to buy her for Christmas, though I’d rather get someone else.
      Oh, I like her maxi dress, too! I don’t really love the colors, though….My mom said the colors are not at all accurate.
      Yeah,mI think it’s kinda cute as a modern dress, but historical? Nope
      Ooh, those are all cute ideas!
      Um…IDK yet. If I even could go, I don’t know if we could get our parents to buy us a Christmas doll, which they’ve never before cause money’s always tight around here. They almost did, last year, though, so maybe if it’s one we shared…..
      It just kinda depends. Between now and September, we could probably get about $120 from allowance, then hopefully someone will buy something from our Etsy shop, then chores……if we got Hazel before, I dont think we could get a doll unless we did a ton of extra chores or my parents agreed on a Christmas doll, who would be Kit, I think. So…we would probably get Hazel/Kit, and then a few historical pieces, probably:

      1. Samantha’s mint floral dress
      2. Kit’s Summer Dress
      3. Rebecca’s Classic Meet
      4. Rebecca’s Holiday Outfit
      5. Grace’s Coat
      6. Bright Stripes Outfit
      And then the violin set for Hazel.

      Obviously I doubt we could get all this (if we had the money for all that we could get another doll!) but that’ll kinda be our list that we’ll narrow down uf we can go depending on how much money we have, what dolls we’re getting, what is retiring, etc.

      Also, Caroline’s coral dress isn’t on the site anymore! 😦 That was the only thing I really wanted of hers.

      Blargh….I think I need to go earn some money……
      Also, the status is still “I can’t think about that right now. I have to wait for our relatives to even say what day in summer/fall we can visit”
      Dallas is a bit out of our way, but I really hope I can see you!

        Here’s a better explanation of what Hazel likes, because I didn’t do a very good job:

        Hazel is very into music, LotR, dolls, gardening, building things out of wood, lacrosse, Disney, art, and nature. She plays viola, violin, piano, and flute, and also sings. She likes to stop motion, and uploads all her AGSMs to AGtube.

And I get that-right now I’m just estimating on the money that I should be getting from some family members, and my mom has me on a challenge of jogging 3 miles without stopping(I’ve only done a mile so far)so if I do that, I’ll get a $50 AG gift card……so..who knows! I might get more or less money than what I’m expecting. 🙂
        Aw, man! That stinks. I’m hoping that they’ll have it on Black Friday this year, because sometimes they have like Saige outfits, so I’m hoping they’ll have extras for then of Caroline’s collection.
        Me too. I’m hoping to do pet-sitting, but my family will be away a lot during the summer so I don’t know how that will work out. Oh well!:) Maybe I can sell some scarfs…….

    Oh, that’s a cool idea! I do love Kit’s eyes, though…I think I got Caroline, I would keep her wig for another custom I’ve been planning, and get a red or black wig for her.
    Yeah, family members are good idea, too! Oh, you’re so lucky! I did five miles once in one go…….all I got was overheated and a 85 on the test I took right after. (It was the middle of summer -_-)
    Yes, me too! It’s really the only thing I’m interested in from her collection. I mean, I also like her ice skates, I guess, and her coat, but…. I hope they have some os Isabelle’s stuff. I’m seriously regretting not getting her now. I always do that. -_-
    Aww, I wish I could do pet sitting! I have awful allergies, chronic sinus infections, etc. I’ve been getting migraines every day for the past….month, I think, and so I can’t be around any dogs/cats. 😦

        Erm….kinda, I guess. LOL. I mean, I’m definitely in better shape than a lot of my peers (I have dance to thank for that) because of all my stamina excersises and whatnot I have to do, but it doesn’t really feel like it. I guess it’s probably because all my friends are either dancers or are online, haha!
        Yeah, I wanted that too. Honestly I want to DIY it, though. It wasn’t very sturdy when I saw it in person. I think I’ll proabbly make one with PVC pipes. What else did you like from her collection?

        Me too! I did think about a bake sale. I actually thought about an allergy friendly one (our family is allergic to everything, so we don’t go to bake sales) through AG. I know there are tons of girls in the local food allergy group who like AG. I also thought about doing a craft fair with some of my friends, at a local school or something, IDK. If you have any other ideas, tell me!

        Yeah, I know. It’s kind of hard to be able to make a list of when you’ll get each doll and everything, especially since AG retires dolls every year. Do you have any ideas for one?

        I thought about it. I don’t know if I’m legal age to do it, or if I could take special classes to become certified to do it. Also, I really only started being home alone in November, and I can’t babysit my siblings very easily, because of their epi-pens. My sister actually went to the hospital 359 days ago (aka around this time last year 😉 ) because of her allergies, so they don’t want me to babysit my siblings. I thought about other people, though. There is one girl I’d love to hang out with more, because we had some issues over the summer and we didn’t really talk much since. Anyways, she’s about a year or two younger than me, and she doesn’t like to stay home alone, so I thought about babysitting/having a playdate with her. IDK, it’s just kind of hard to do it, becuase all my friends are online, or my age or older, and the other kids in our church are all tiny.

        Anyways, that rambling probably made no sense.

        Um, well..I haven”t bewigged yet, but I’ve freckled Emily, Rubye, Becca, and Piper. I took a set of watercolors, and mixed a bit of red with a bit of brown till I got a natural looking color. I took paintbrushes of various brush sizes (though they were all tiny) and a toothpick, and dipped them in the paint before very lightly touching it onto the dolls face. After I did a few freckles in an area, I took my finger and pressed it on the paint, getting it more into the vinyl, and making it lighter as well.
        It’s kind of similar to what AGSmiless uses, but not quite. She has a tutorial on her Youtube if you want to look at that.
        I’ll be rewigging Becca as soon as we get Hazel, so I’ll post how I do that on my blog then. 🙂 I have a few barabies I might make a wig for, as well, so I’ll post that soon. (The AG wigs will be bought, but I’m making the barbies.)

        Ooooh, those dolls would make a great doll family! I love how you can just make a doll family that’s actually a realistic combo of different hair/eye combos, just like that, and not even blink an eyelash.

        unfortunately, mine wouldn’t help animals/people nearly as much as yours, but I would love to be an actress or dance in Riverdance! You’re the first person to ever guess that that I know from online. Actually, I only have one friend (IRL, but now you do, too, and whoever reads this) that know I take acting as a serious thing (I don’t take classes, though), because of a thing I’ve had a problem with, which I don’t feel like sharing publicly right now. 🙂 IF I ever can email you privately, or I see you IRL, I’ll tell you then. Anyways, congrats on guessing that so quickly!
        I’d also love to:
        – start my own doll company, similar to H4H, but an 18″ doll version, with dolls from around the world, and accessories and furniture as well.
        – Become president of AG (I doubt it’ll happen, though)
        – Become a lawyer
        – Become a dance teacher
        – Become a published author on the side
        – Director for movies/short films/etc
        – UN representative
        – Costume design
        – Designing and making Irish dance solo dresses/ballet tutus

        I kinda hav a lot of different things I’m interested in. 😉
        It’s weird because when I was younger I was so set on becoming an actress or dancer. When I was 14, I was going to be Clara in the Pacific Northwest Ballet (I grew up watching the DVD of that one), then I was going to go to college in the same city as my parents if we lived in a city with a college, then graduate with a dance degree, and become a professional dancer and actress in movies or in shows, and compete in competitions. Obviously it’s kinda changed. I’d love to get back in Irish dance as soon as I stop growing (blargh, roughly 4 more years to go) and then do that until about a year before I go to college, at which point I want to travel the world for a year. Then I want to go to college, at which point I want to get into Trinity, in Dublin, and go there, since they have these fantastic dance programs with Riverdance. Then I’m not quite sure what I’ll get a degree in (except I know I want to get the Irish Arts scholarship for dance, so I’d be getting a degree in that) or do after that.

        Anywho………..where would you want to go to college?

        Wow, it looks like you have everything planned out!:) With me…….well…..on the realistic side……I’ll probably go to a Nursing School close to home. Once I became a nurse I would have a job at a hospital, and volunteer at a St. Jude’s.
        So I guess that’s the more realistic side of things!:) I don’t exactly know where I’ll go to college. 🙂
        Unrealistic……well, no one really knows this, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE, to be a Christian singer!! I’m pretty shy about singing in front of people now, but I’m sure that I could grow out of that. 🙂 I really love music, and I take piano lessons right now. In a year or two, I’m hoping to start violin. Once I get good enough at violin, I want to be in a orchestra. Now that is pretty realistic, but I couldn’t have a job doing that. 🙂 But like I said, I love singing, so I’m hoping that if I end up going to the same college that my BFF will go to, we could start singing together, and kind of move up from there. But she wants to be a missionary to Africa and start her own orphanage. I want to do some mission work too, but not as my job as much. I will probably end up doing charity work wherever it is that I end up living. And then eventually, I would like to be a stay-at-home mom, and adopt some kids, as well as having some of my own. 🙂 Mostly girls!;)
        Well! I guess that’s about it! Oh! And I would also LOVE to be in a movie or two!:D Maybe we could direct our own movie together!:D Oooooh! Maybe we could direct an AG movie!!!:D:D:D:D

IDK, but it seems like we wouldn’t want to carry it all around while we’re looking. Maybe we could even go to dinner elsewhere afterwards! We’d be spending the night (we definitely wouldn’t be able to drive there and back in one day unless we had super speed), but I doubt you will. 😦 Do you have any idea whether you will? If you do, and we had the time the next day before we had to go bach home, it would be fun to go to the Perrot Museum. I went there once when I was tiny, and it was super cool!

        What dolls would you bring? If we can get Hazel, she’s definitely being brought, and I think Claire will bring Ruthie so Ruthie can meet Kit that day since we’ll be hopefully getting her then.
        And yes, we totally need to bring our cameras and blog about it! I’m assuming you aren’t allowed to show your face online, either, since you haven’t, but maybe we could still tale pictures together as long as we didn’t post them. Or maybe a vlog with one of our dolls being the “vlogger”? IDK……..the only thing with that is I guess you’d still have to call me Kathleen in the vlog, not my real name, which I’ll definitely tell you when we meet up if we can. 🙂

They have an indoor skating rink, and even though I’ll probably fall, we(me and my friend) were hoping to go.         Well, I’ve only been ice-skating ONCE, so……..yeah…….I’ll probably fall on my face again. 😀 Though now with roller skating I only usually fall if I’m playing tag, or trying to go really fast-so I SHOULD be better at ice skating this time, since I’ve been to the roller skating rink like seven times since I went ice skating. ;D

    And they show the cover of her book, too — She’s sooooooooo cute!!! And so far, her character / story sounds amazing!!

  26. Do you mean the prototype pictures of her or…?… Those were really cute, but they weren’t all the same. In most of them she had regular bangs, but in one she had like side bangs…
    She seems to have half bangs on the book cover, (but they go to the other side) so I’m confused. Lol
    I cant wait to see (more) photos of the doll!! And I’m just itching for the book descriptions to be released…
    I’m excited to see more of her clothes, too! The 50’s style is fun.
    Yes, I have seen the Andy Griffith show (my Aunt loves it!) but it’s been quite a while, so I don’t really remember the clothes from it.

      1. Kathleen —- Do you mean the dress from the cover of the book, or…?… is there a picture somewhere of the actual doll’s outfit?!
        What are you hoping Maryellen’s story will be about? My mom and I were searching the Internet last night to learn more about the fifties (although are we sure that she’s actually from that era? I don’t think AG has confirmed that…) and during that time, air travel was becoming popular, there was Civil Rights, Polio, the Cold War, space exploration,…. AG said “She follows her heart instead of the crowd!” That could mean just about anything, though… I guess we’ll have to wait until the book descriptions are released.
        So far, about the doll, we know that she has (wavy?) red hair and (side?) bangs. I wonder what face mold and eye color she’ll have?! Oh, this is all very exciting — but the suspense is driving me crazy!! Lol. 😀

  29. Kathleen—– yeah, I did see the dress she’s wearing on the book cover. It’s pretty cute, although I wish it wasn’t sleeveless. (My guess is that AG will put a cute little jacket / sweater in Maryellen’s accessory set… and since it’s an accessory and not actually part of her meet outfit, that’s why it isn’t on the book cover. I still wish it was, though, because then the dress would be more modest!) :D.

    Oh WOW — I can’t believe I didn’t notice that it said 1954 right on the cover!! Now I feel rather “duh”… Anyways, thanks for pointing it out to me!! 🙂

    1. Oh, yeah, that’s a good theory! I think it also might nave to do with the era – there were lots of sleeveless dresses, and not much else.
      You had to zoom in a lot, don’t worry. 🙂 And you’re quite welcome!
      If you gave it your best guess, how would you summarize what you think will happen in her books? (i.e. – Mary Ellen is a cheerful ten year old growing up in 1954, etc.)

  30. Kathleen—– Thanks! I do hope it’s right! Wouldn’t the dress be cute with a little cardigan sweater or maybe a bolero jacket over it? Last night, my mom and I were researching the fashions from the 1950’s and we came across a video / slideshow and in it was a teenage girl wearing a dress literally almost identical to Maryellen’s, which was really fun to see!
    Hmmmmmm…. I’m not exactly sure how I would summarize her books. I do have a lot of different story ideas, but it would take me a while to write them down / sort them out. LoL. I’ll think about it and then post my book summary ideas later — I’ll try to do it soon, but it might end up being a few days… how would you summarize Maryellen’s books?

    1. It would be absolutely adorable! Oooh, that’s really cool! So we now know it’s somewhat historically accurate, though the kinds of clothes that have been leaked so far for her are what more privileged people would be wearing in terms of wealth, and if she’s military and moving around a lot I don’t know how accurate that is. (Not that all people in the military are poor, merely that the house pictured behind her and the overall things they’ve said lead me to believe she might have the kind of money required for Leave it to Beaver-type clothes)
      Oooh, I’m excited to see what you think will happen.
      Oh, goodness, well……….I’ll have to write an actual summary later, because I have to go in a few minutes, but I think that she:
      – is in a military family, stationed either in California or Florida, though I’d guess Florida if I had to choose
      – is going to be played in a very safe way (i.e.-I doubt the civil rights movement will show up or anything at all controversial)
      – I’d guess has siblings
      – I’d assume has a Space Race/aviation/early Cold War theme
      – I’d assume she will have a feministic outlook

    I have some reeeeeeally exciting news! AG put Maryellen’s book descriptions on their book retailing site — and a photo of the mini doll, too! You should check them out!

    So what do think?… At first, I thought the book descriptions seemed a little bit all-over-the place… but I think that’s because the new BF books are like 3 books in 1. When you try to divide the descriptions into the original titles they make more sense.
    BF book 1 = meet, school, and Christmas
    BF book 2 = birthday, saves the day, and changes for
    I’m reeeeeeally liking Maryellen’s story so far — I also like your idea of her being in a military family. I’m guessing the Civil Rights movement will be in the story at least a little bit, but don’t know for sure… Oh, or maybe they’ll mention Polio???
    Anyways, I can’t wait for the books (and doll, too, of course!) to be released this August!!
    As for the Maryellen mini doll, I think she’s REALLY cute!! She reminds me a lot of GOTY 2010, Lanie… the curly hair, side bangs, hazel / green eyes… I just wish she had freckles!!

    1. Yeah, I saw. (and that’s because I’m replying a month late. Seriously I am so bad at replying)
      Yeah, I thought they were all over as well. Honestly, reading her descriptions I think they’re going to go a very safe route (except for probably she’ll triumph hugely over Russia in some way, breaking a secret code or something. /is being sarcastic because while AG would write something like that it’s not realistic/)
      I’m excited for the doll, and I think it will be interesting to see what her books are like. Unfortunately they’ll have to deal with one of my all time favorite books (Penny From Heaven), and if I get Mary-Ellen I’ll probably end up naming her Penny and giving her Penny’s personality anyways.
      In case you can’t tell I’ve been very annoyed with AG recently. -_-

    So everyone (including us!) has been talking excitedly about Maryellen, but I’ve been thinking — we actually know pretty much about Maryellen now, but I haven’t heard anything about the 2016 GOTY yet…. Last year, I’m pretty sure in May, there were movie audition videos out on the Internet for Grace’s movie, which had some character/story info in them. Then around late summer/early fall the books became available (with descriptions, I believe) on Amazon.
    It’s already June (I know, it’s only the 2nd…) and as far as I know, there hasn’t been anything said about GOTY 2016 anywhere!!
    If you could design the GOTY, like the doll, her clothes, accessories, story, and everything about her, what would she be like?
    Do you have any of the GOTY dolls? Which AG dolls do you have?

      Anyways Echo would be into music, and would enjoy violin, piano, swimming, singing, and musical theatre, especially tap. She would live in NYC with her mom, sister Holly, and her dad. IDK know what her stories would be about. -_-
      Marie would be a very nerdy person. XD She loves reading, writing, blogging, photography, and learning random facts. She lives in Seattle (I know, there’s already McKenna) with her mom, her dad, her twin sister (Grace), her cousin (Adeline), and her other two twin sisters, Willow and Hazel. She loves diversity and works for it in her neighborhood, which is a predominantly white area where people don’t know much about other cultures.
      The other two I don’t know about. AG has already had an overabundance of dancers (OK, two, but still), but I know that a lot of people think non-Caucasian girls can’t dance. Which is absolutely untrue because the three best dancers in my class are not Caucasian. Blargh. So probably a similar personality to Echo?
      Seriously this is the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Thanks. 🙂

    I totally understand about being busy!
    A few weeks ago, I started playing soccer! (I’m definitely a beginner, but I’m getting better!) Thankfully, it’s neither competitive nor too professional… it’s just a random group of us who get together and play for fun, and it is soooooooooo much fun! Have you ever played soccer?
    I’ve also started babysitting (once a week) and have recently gotten pretty involved in stuff at church, too (youth group, catechism\religion class, Rosary making class…), which is all really great!
    That’s cool that you’re homeschooled! I am, too! Because of the move, though, I got a rather late start this year (my school books were all packed away in storage!), but we finally found them and school is going pretty well so far. How’s it going for you?
    Dance and acting sound like so much fun!! What kind of dance are you doing? I’ve taken some ballet and Irish step dancing, and a little bit of drama, too. It was all really fun!

      I always wanted to play soccer, but I never did. I had fun playing it informally with friends a few times though!
      Oh, that sounds fun!
      Oh, well, I did some over the summer, so I started a bit late too.
      YOU DID?????? *goes into overdrive mode* I was an Irish Dancer for 3.5 years! I had five injuries, actually, so I had to quit in Summer 2014, but it’s by far still my favorite style of dance and I really miss it. Did you do it competitively? I had finally gotten my solo dress, so that was pretty sad though. Anyways, I’ve taken ballet for 4 years (2 when I was tiny), tap for 2 (1 when I was tiny), and this year, I’m starting my 5th and 3rd years of those and also jazz and lyrical for the first time, which I’m actually quite enjoying even though I wasn’t sure. I’m totally a performer at heart. 😉

    Whoa, I’m sorry it took me forever (AGAIN) to comment back.
    I have very, very limited access to Internet right now, and as always, I’ve been really busy!
    Guess what? We moved AGAIN and are living in the same neighborhood we lived in before (on the same street!) Craziness, right?! It’s just another “temporary” home because it’s fully (and generously) furnished which means we can’t unpack much of our own stuff from storage (although the dolls did come with us…) *guilty grin* 😉 It’s great for now, though, and we’re very thankful to be there!!
    What have you been doing lately?
    Wow! That’s SO cool that did Irish dancing for 3.5 years!! I’m sorry about the injuries, though… And that you didn’t get to wear your solo dress. 😦 (What did it look like?)
    I only took Irish dance for one semester (because that’s as long as I was in that Co-op) so no, I didn’t dance competitively, but I had a lot of fun!!
    I’ve done more ballet — some when I was really young and then another year\couple years a few years ago, (did that make sense? Lol) all of which I learned from my friends’ older sister (also a friend, mom of the little boys I babysit for.) Ok, that was a long explanation… :p Anyways, ballet was pretty fun!
